FibreNest Broadband

FibreNest is the broadband arm of the housebuilder Persimmon. Rather than waiting for an operator to reach a new development, the fibre is laid while the estate is being built, so homes are connected from the day people move in. In practice that means full fibre to the property on sites where the alternative might have been a slow copper line for the first year or two.

It is not a provider you can choose in the usual sense. FibreNest serves Persimmon and Charles Church developments, so availability follows where the company has built rather than any coverage map you can plan around. If you are not on one of those estates, it is not an option.

On some developments the FibreNest network is the only one present. Where that is the case, switching means waiting for another operator to build in, which can take years. Worth understanding before you buy on a new estate, because it is a question few people think to ask at the point of reservation.

We do not list FibreNest deals for comparison. It is included here because it shows up in our speed test data and residents reasonably want to know who they are with, not because you can switch to it.
